The following statement was prepared by the private investigation company that Justice for Waldport contacted in September 2025 after receiving anonymous communications concerning Greg Dunn. They have also provided screenshots of the Dignity Memorial page Kate-Lynn Cates.
During the course of their independent investigation, the investigator learned of Kate-Lynn Cates and undertook efforts to gather information concerning her life, experiences, and death. Prior to Breana publicly identifying herself as the individual who had initially communicated anonymously with Justice for Waldport, the investigator identified, located, and interviewed several individuals who knew Kate-Lynn, were familiar with her history, or possessed information relevant to the matters addressed in the statement below.
In addition to the individuals whose statements and materials are published elsewhere within the Dunn Files, the investigation company obtained information from other sources who have requested anonymity and whose identities are not being disclosed.
